The New York Songwriters Circle 2006 Songwriting Contest Finale Part 1
Hello Friends !
We wanted to share this information from our friends at Sesac !Check out SPONY (Songwriter’s Pitch-a-Thon of New York) on Thursday, August 2nd.
TV opportunities abound with a guest judge’s panel comprised of: The Director of Music for the Oxygen Network who is looking for songs which are edgy, bold and infectious to complement their programming. Oxygen’s programming tends to be slightly risqué and fairly edgy and they are looking for music to match. The Director of Music & Talent for VH-1 is looking for all styles of music, but especially Hip Hop (leaning toward Pop/Hip Hop), Pop, and Alternative (leaning toward Mainstream). And, the Music Supervisor for the hit soap “All My Children” is looking for Rock, Alt-rock, and Emo-rock to complement their programming. The Pitch-a-Thon runs from 6:00pm-8:00pm with CD check-in starting at 5:00pm at 320 W. 57th Street (between 8th – 9th avenues).
There is a $20 entrance fee which entitles you to pitch one song (limit one song per person).
For more information log onto the SPONY website: http://www.sponyonline.com/Thanks for the heads up Linda ! Peace.
